Embroidery digitizing is converting your artwork into a stitch file your embroidery machine can read, including stitch types, direction, underlay, and color changes. It is not the same as “converting an image.” It is a build process that affects sew quality.
It depends on your machine. DST is common in commercial setups, while PES (Brother/Baby Lock), JEF (Janome), and EXP (Melco/Bernina) are also popular. If you tell us your machine brand, we’ll deliver the right format.
We can work from JPG/PNG, but clean results usually need clean artwork. If your image is blurry or low-res, we recommend raster-to-vector conversion first, then digitizing, especially for small hat logos and fine text. This is a common issue people run into when trying “image to embroidery” shortcuts.
Yes. 3D puff digitizing needs special settings (foam coverage, satin width, underlay choices, and clean edges) so the design pops without tearing foam or looking rough. It’s a different approach than flat embroidery.
