Why both units matter
Most embroidery software works in millimeters, while most customers order in inches. One inch is exactly 25.4 mm.
Resizing a design
The second calculator keeps proportions when you change the width. Stitch files can usually be resized by 10 to 20% in software. Beyond that, density and underlay need rebuilding, so ask a digitizer for a new size instead.
