How the estimate works
Stitch count drives price, run time and thread use. The estimator multiplies the design area by how much of it is covered, then by a typical density for the stitch type:

Real counts depend on underlay, density and how the digitizer builds the file, so treat the result as a planning number with a range of about 15% either way.
Tips
- Text-only logos usually cover 25 to 40% of their area. Solid badges cover 80 to 100%.
